Little Fish Echo Park: Reviews & Ratings

As you know, I'm a coffeeholic. I'm always looking for coffee. I came across little fish on a whim. I think the name threw me off a bit, Little Fish doesn’t really sound like coffee, but they have coffee! They actually have a great looking menu full of things I love. From fish sandwiches to congee to coffee. Little Fish is in Dada Market. They have an order window outside and they have lots of outdoor seating. I didn't go into the market so not sure if you can order inside and not sure if there is seating inside. There is street parking and parking in the back that you do have to pay for. I got an iced Elsinore which is a “okinawan black sugar sweetened latte with a cream top made of sour cream, condensed milk & heavy cream”, and it was pretty good. My main focus during this visit was coffee, so I will definitely e coming back to try their food. It looks delish!

The fish sandwich is delish. Was looking for a good fish sandwich for a long time and finally found it. The nori fries were also fire. The place next door has an awesome selection of brews and spirits so you’re in for a treat. Enjoy

I never knew food could taste so good. It’s like each flavor was violently assaulting one another, fighting to get first place towards the finish line that is my taste buds. This Smoked white fish tartine could single handedly solve world hunger. It was hand carried to me with a smile. Great staff, definitely recommend.

Their fish sandwich was top notch crunch, but their steak sandwich was okay. I also really enjoyed their banana milk matcha latte.

Sound is part of the experience—specifically, the kind of crisp from its fish sandwich that practically echoes. It’s a place where crispy reigns supreme. Order at the window and grab a seat inside or out. The seasonal salad—purple cabbage dressed in a miso-forward, Japanese-leaning vinaigrette—is bright, tasty and light. Then, the reason people flock here: the fried fish sandwich. One bite and I got it. The beer-battered striped bass is engineered for peak crunch—so loud and crisp. A soft potato bun, dill pickles, kewpie mayo, and a slice of american cheese round it out, each playing a precise role. The crispy nori potatoes keep the crunch coming—piping hot, dusted in nori salt, and practically designed for dunking into the garlicky aioli. Impossible to eat just one. Inside, there’s a small bar and well-curated shop, but the fish sandwich is the real reason you’re here.

Tbh best fish sandwich I’ve had since I moved to the west coast / top 3 of all time , and I’m from Rhode Island . My boyfriend got the steak sandwich, that was also great but he was ultimately jealous of my fish sandy. The salad was also refreshing and the cheese was great.

Little Fish Echo Park is a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant Dada Market on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. Despite its name, this spot isn’t just about seafood—it masterfully blends the comfort of crispy, flavorful fish sandwiches with an inventive beverage menu that draws coffee lovers in droves. The star here is undoubtedly their fried fish sandwich: a beer-battered striped bass engineered for maximum crunch, layered with dill pickles, kewpie mayo, American cheese, and served on a soft potato bun. Each bite delivers a satisfying symphony of textures and flavors that echo long after the last crumb.

What elevates Little Fish even further is the thoughtful accompaniment of nori-infused crispy potatoes, perfectly salty and ideal for dipping into their garlicky aioli—an addictive pairing that makes it hard to stop at just one. Beyond the sandwiches, the menu offers exciting surprises like a purple cabbage salad dressed in a miso-forward Japanese vinaigrette, which adds a bright, refreshing contrast to the rich main dishes.

Coffee and drinks here take center stage too. The “Elsinore” iced latte, balanced with Okinawan black sugar and a unique cream top made from sour cream, condensed milk, and heavy cream, is a revelation—sweet, creamy, but never overbearing. The banana milk matcha latte also deserves mention, offering a gentle, earthy sweetness that complements the boldness of the food.

Little Fish thrives on its blend of casual outdoor dining, a small indoor bar space, and the vibrant energy of the market surrounding it. The combination of quality, creativity, and attention to detail makes it a must-visit for anyone craving crispy, well-crafted fish sandwiches and a coffee experience that’s as adventurous as it is comforting. Whether you’re here for a quick order at the window or settling in with a drink and a crunchy meal, Little Fish Echo Park leaves a lasting impression—one that keeps you coming back for more.
